It's been quite a year for Mack Geiger. From growing up on cattle stations in rural Queensland to making his Grand Ole Opry debut, the 21-year-old Australian has certainly come a long way.

And it’s about to get bigger. Following the success of his breakout hit 'String By', Geiger is set to release his debut album, ‘Dying In This House’ on November 6th, 2026.

Released through Records Nashville and Columbia Records, the project will feature eight songs written by Geiger, including the title track and 'String By' which now has over 104.5 million global streams.

For fans of the traditional country music sound, there's certainly plenty to look forward to.

Speaking about the album, Geiger said, “I've always been drawn to songs which painted pictures. I feel like this album does that." He went on to explain that 'Dying In This House' tells the story of a man navigating heartbreak, loneliness and the difficulties life can throw at you, whilst still finding moments of hope along the way.

It explores the difficult moments in life, but also the importance of remembering who you are, finding your feet again and having the strength to keep going. It's an approach that's become an important part of his songwriting, and one that's heavily influenced by the traditional country artists he grew up listening to, including Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt and Tim McGraw.

His debut album brings together two producers with very different connections to Geiger's career. Keith Stegall - whose credits include Alan Jackson, Randy Travis and Zac Brown Band - produced seven of the tracks, whilst Geiger's longtime producer Jared Adlam worked on the remaining five. It's a particularly exciting collaboration for someone whose love of country music has always been rooted in the traditional sounds of the 1980s and 1990s to be working with the producers of your idols.

And whilst Geiger has been working with some of Nashville's most established names, it's his own songwriting that really stands out on the tracklist. Eight of the twelve songs have been written solely by Geiger, including 'Jesus & Jones', 'You Don't Deserve Me', 'Nothing Like Grandma' and the album's title track.

And there's a lovely story behind 'Nothing Like Grandma'.  Earlier this year, Geiger shared a video of himself performing the song with his grandmother and great grandmother sitting in the front row. Having travelled to see him perform, the two women were visibly emotional as he dedicated the song to them, with Geiger himself becoming tearful during the performance.

Geiger will return to the Grand Ole Opry on November 7th, before continuing his 'When It's Pouring Tour' across North America. Looking ahead to 2027, he'll return to Australia to join Brooks & Dunn on their 'Neon Moon Tour', before making appearances at Stagecoach, Two Step Inn and GoldenSky. And UK fans won't have too long to wait either, with Geiger confirmed for C2C in Glasgow, London and Manchester in March 2027.

With more than 136 million streams across his catalogue, a growing international audience and now a debut album on the way, Geiger is certainly making his mark on country music.

'Dying In This House' arrives on Friday, November 6th, 2026 and is available to pre-save and pre-order now through Mack Geiger's official website.
