Hot on the heels of releasing her Stars (Blue Hour Deluxe) project in July, Anne Wilson is preparing to kick off a brand new era with the arrival of ‘Who I Am To You’ on August 21st.

The ‘Rain in the Rearview’ singer-songwriter has been teasing the soul-stirring and vulnerable ode at shows and via social media, with Wilson now confirming the release date.

In the caption, alongside a tantalising snippet of the new track, the Kentucky native explains the inspiration behind the new song, “I’ve believed a lot of lies about who I am and maybe you have too. But our identity isn’t defined by the labels the world puts on us. It’s defined by what God says is true about us. This new song is a reminder to trade the lies and insecurities for the truth of who God created us to be”.

Wilson concludes with a heartfelt message addressed to fans, “I hope it reminds you who you really are in Christ and gives you the courage to walk confidently in that truth!”

It promises to be the latest in a string of stellar releases from Wilson, following her third studio album, Stars, in October, before expanding this with the Blue Hour Deluxe last month.

The fact that the ‘My Jesus’ hitmaker is already releasing new music a matter of weeks after this project highlights how Wilson has been in a rich creative vein in recent months.

Stars (Blue Hour Deluxe) was a captivating project, with deeply moving offerings such as ‘Me & Jesus’, which was dedicated to Wilson's friend, Carly, who passed away in February 2026 at the age of just 22, and ‘Maker's Mark’ with Drew Baldridge.

It built on the Country-Contemporary Christian Music crossover foundation that Wilson had laid with REBEL, which featured star-studded collaborations with the likes of Jordan Davis (‘Country Gold’), Chris Tomlin (‘The Cross’) and Lainey Wilson (‘Praying Woman’), with the latter in particular blossoming into a fan-favourite. It means the anticipation is sky-high ahead of Wilson's next chapter, which excitingly launches with the arrival of ‘Who I Am To You’ in just a couple of weeks’ time.
