Ella Langley has shared a new video recap of her Auburn, Alabama double-header, with the sold-out shows serving as an emotional homecoming for the ‘Choosin’ Texas’ hitmaker.
Langley attended Auburn University, and as she recalls during her second show at Auburn's Neville Arena, this was a venue she attended multiple times while she was studying.
The Alabama native underlines how special this show is to her while on-stage, “This has been a dream of mine my whole entire life. I did a couple of High School dance competitions in this arena...I watched countless basketball games here, and I'm just so grateful tonight that we have a sold-out show for the second night in a row”.
In the cinematic video, Langley offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at her pre-show routine, with the ‘Be Her’ singer-songwriter sharing her backstage prayer with her team.
As everyone links arms, Langley expresses her gratitude, “Thank You for another beautiful day. I'm so grateful to be here today. Started this journey 10 years ago, in almost this exact same place, and it is insane to see what You have built, and the goodness that You have brought through just following Your dream, Lord”.
Langley has been making a point in every show to take a moment to discuss her belief in God and Jesus, and share her testimony of how her faith has helped her overcome the mental health struggles she experienced as her popularity exploded.
Usually, Langley shares this speech before performing ‘Loving Life Again‘, which finds her meditating on how she has cultivated a more joyful, peaceful outlook since last year.
With her Auburn double-header acting as a moving return to the place where, in many ways, her journey started, it adds a powerful new dimension getting to witness Langley and her camp circled up and sharing their thanks to God for being in this position.
With Langley securing a 21st week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 courtesy of ‘Choosin’ Texas’, and many predicting her to eventually outpace Mariah Carey's all-time 22-week chart record with ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’, the ‘Butterfly Season’ crooner is solidifying her status as one of the biggest artists on the planet.
And as her ascent shows no signs of slowing down, Langley continues to make it a key part of her set to open up about her mental health and her faith. In doing so, offering hope and reassurance to fans that might be contending with similar challenges.
