In a video shared online, Ella Langley has discussed how difficult she finds it to choose a favourite song from any of her projects, due to how each one is tied to a different chapter of her life, and each of these will carry with it a range of memories and emotions.

The ‘Choosin’ Texas’ singer-songwriter begins, “Someone asked me the other day, what my favourite song I had written was. And I don't know if I have just one favourite, because they're all, like, such specific memories of my life, or certain eras”.

Ultimately, though, Langley settles on ‘Broken’ and ‘Loving Life Again’ as two songs from Dandelion that will always be close to her heart, “It's really hard, because it just depends on the type of emotion. If we're just talking about Dandelion, my two [songs] I would say I'm most proud of, is probably ‘Broken’ and ‘Loving Life Again’. Just because those songs really healed something in me to write”.

The Alabama native goes on to cite ‘Butterfly Season’, her introspective duet with Miranda Lambert, as another song that felt like a key moment in her Dandelion era, “But ‘Butterfly Season’ I really love. That was special. It's really hard to pick”.

‘Broken’ and ‘Loving Life Again’ feel like two stages in Langley's mental health journey, with ‘Broken’ finding her confessing her struggles and asking her partner to just sit with her as she lets all of her pain out, while ’Loving Life Again’ explores the joy and hope she reaches after working through her self-doubt and anxieties.

Both feel like key tracks on Dandelion, and they touch on the overarching theme of Langley looking inwards and figuring out how to overcome her mental health challenges.

Langley has been open while on her 2026 Dandelion Tour about how much she was struggling last year, when she was forced to take time away from the road to focus on herself.

Now, through her live shows, she regularly shares her testimony of how she made it through that dark period in her life with the help of her faith in God and Jesus. These heartfelt speeches - many of which have gone viral on TikTok - serve as the emotional introductions to ‘Loving Life Again’, underlining its importance to the album.
