After hinting at a major announcement earlier in the week, Garth Brooks has officially unveiled a five-show Ireland tour, which kicks off in May 2027 at Belfast's Boucher Road.
The blockbuster run will bring the ‘Friends in Low Places’ hitmaker across five major GAA (Gaelic Athletic Association) stadiums in Belfast, Galway, Kilkenny, Limerick and Cork.
We suspected Brooks was gearing up to unveil an Ireland tour when Aikens Promotions - who have put together GAA tours in the past - teased a ‘Special Delivery’ arriving today.
It was seemingly a reference to the famous 1997 Radio & Records article titled Garth Makes a Special Delivery. That piece was about Brooks’ now-seminal album, Sevens, and with 2027 marking the 30-year anniversary of that iconic album, we suspect he might be preparing a celebratory boxset to accompany his Ireland tour.
Brooks will play two nights at Belfast's Boucher Road, Galway's Pearse Stadium, Kilkenny's UPMC Nowlan Park, Limerick's TUS Gaelic Grounds and Cork's Pairc Ui Chaoimh. But if his 2026 US shows are anything to go by, we imagine the ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ chart-topper might add extra dates based on demand.
Brooks is remaining undeterred in his battle against ticket scalpers and bots, with the Oklahoma native again eschewing a traditional pre-sale. For all his 2027 Ireland shows, there will be a General Sale, which opens on Thursday, November 6th at 8am.
It serves as an emotional homecoming of sorts for Brooks, who has always had a special affinity with Ireland. He last headlined there in 2022 when he played five back-to-back nights at Dublin's Croke Park. His fans in Ireland were undoubtedly disappointed when Brooks came to the UK this summer to headline London's BST Hyde Park and didn't tag any Ireland shows on. But now, following this 2027 announcement, it seems he was simply waiting to reveal something bigger.
