Noah Kahan Will Perform ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ During the Emmys’ In Memoriam Segment

Noah Kahan will perform Simon & Garfunkel's much-loved ballad, ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, to accompany the Emmys’ In Memoriam segment on Monday, September 14th.

Taking place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, California, the 2026 Emmys will see a host of TV stars and shows battle it out against one another for a coveted trophy.

As is tradition, the Emmys will honour members of the entertainment industry who have died during the past year, with Kahan singing ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ as a moving tribute.

In a new report published by Variety, Jesse Collins - producer of the 2026 Emmys - revealed why Kahan chose ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’, “It's a song that is very meaningful to him. Paul Simon is one of his favorite artists. So it was really about coming up with an arrangement that does the song justice. He's such a pure musician”.

Collins went on to underline that viewers can expect a powerful rendition from Kahan, “He's worked really hard with our team to create something I think people are going to love”.

Elsewhere during the ceremony, the Emmys will provide a special tribute to country legend Dolly Parton, who passed away from cancer at the age of 80 earlier in the summer. It's not yet clear whether Parton's tribute will be its own segment, or whether this will be included in the broader In Memoriam portion of the show.

As well as dipping his toes into the TV world next week, Kahan continues to hint at his involvement in one of the year's major blockbusters. Rumours are swirling around the possibility of Kahan being featured on the Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping soundtrack, with his cryptic new video seemingly offering fans another clue.
