Brandon Lake has paid homage to his buddy Forrest Frank, with Lake reposting a video of a pastor celebrating Forrest's recent tour-stop on his JESUS GENERATION run.

Alongside the clip, in which the pastor gushing about Forrest being a brilliant role model for his children and making the focus of the concert about God and Jesus, rather than himself, Lake has offered some words of praise for his fellow artist. Lake shares, “This is so good!!! Proud of you @hiforrest”, adding, “What a gift to this generation!”

It's a heartwarming moment of camaraderie, particularly given how Lake and Forrest are currently two of the most popular artists in the Contemporary Christian Music space.

They have been dominating the genre in recent years, with Forrest currently selling out huge venues across North America and Lake continuing to cement himself as a fixture on the Christian charts. As a result, fans have been clamouring for the duo to collaborate. So far, though, there's been no sign of a link-up - but we're hoping Lake's kind words lay the foundation for a joint track in the near future.

It's not the first time the duo have shown love to one another via social media, with Lake and Forrest selflessly campaigning for listeners to stream each other's music as an attempt to keep Christian music at the top of the charts back in 2024.

While Lake and Forrest have distinct sounds, with Lake leaning more towards both rock-infused and traditional CCM aesthetics, while Forrest embraces lo-fi, beachy and pop-driven textures, both artists appear to have a shared love of country music.

Lake has increasingly been venturing into the country space, collaborating with a star-studded array of artists that includes Lainey Wilson, HARDY, Bailey Zimmerman, Cody Johnson, Tyler Hubbard, Thomas Rhett, Russell Dickerson, Dan + Shay and more.

Just this week, Lake revealed via an interview with Katie Neal on Katie & Company that his next body of work will heavily feature country music and a multitude of collaborations.

Forrest, meanwhile, worked with Rhett in 2025 on the uplifting earworm, ’NOTHING ELSE’, and dipped his toes back in the country waters last month with ‘2 STEP THE ENEMY’, an infectious, honky-tonkin’ anthem that includes LOST & FOUND and ZVC.

Perhaps the collaboration fans have been waiting for could come about through Lake and Forrest's mutual interest in country. Whether a link-up would appear on Lake's next album, which is yet to be officially unveiled, or Forrest's JESUS GENERATION record, or whether it would simply be a standalone release, we're not sure.

But one thing we are pretty certain about is that a collaboration between these two CCM titans would be a massive moment for the genre, and would surely surge to the top of not only the Christian charts, but potentially even the all-genre rankings.
