Morgan Wallen's dad, Tommy Wallen, has returned with another episode of 'Tommy's Sunday Seven.' The father of the country superstar releases a 7-minute episode every week, where he dives into biblical study with his listeners on 'Morgan Wallen Radio' via SiriusXM.

This week, Tommy opens with a brief overview of Genesis chapter four, the first book of the Bible that the Tennessee preacher has looked into many times with his listeners.

In this chapter of Genesis, Tommy gives an overview of the first births of the Bible, and how they relate to the lives of Christians. Tommy breaks down the births of the Bible into five different types: Adam being the first, created from dust, Eve, created from Adam's side, Cain, created from Adam and Eve, and the birth of Jesus Christ, created from the Holy Spirit visiting the virgin Mother Mary.

He tells listeners that the fifth and final birth involves them as Christians: that they must be born again. He explains that this type of birth involves every man, woman, or child and the salvation between them and God.

However, Tommy shares with his listeners that the first traditional birth known by humankind, was Cain's. A tidbit that Tommy shares about the Hebrew-rooted name Cain is that its meaning is "I've gotten a man."

Tommy notes that Eve, which of course is Cain's mother, believed that the birth of her son would fulfill the promises of Gensis 3:15, which declares that God put enmity between the serpent and the woman, and her offspring is designed to crush the serpent's head.

The continuing scripture following Cain's birth disproves this, though, as when listening to Tommy, we find that the first murder came from Cain killing his brother Abel. According to Genesis 4:3-11, Cain was a farmer, and Abel a shepherd. When the two went to God one day with the gifts they had harvested and rounded up for him, God accepted Abel for his gifts but did not accept Cain. This made Cain angry, and he took Abel out to the fields one day and attacked and murdered him.

Tommy then adds on that; it was around this time of Cain killing Abel that the first mention of the word "sin" appears in the Bible. He explains that the first use of the word would set the precedent for how it would be used in the rest of the book, applying the same logic to various terms and concepts seen in the Bible.

He gives the example of the number six being associated with mankind in the Bible. Tommy states that since humankind was created on the sixth day, that number is associated with humans throughout scripture.

Tommy delves into other connections found in scripture by discussing the meaning behind blood in the Bible. As he references Genesis 4:10, The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground," Tommy emphasizes the significance behind the concept of blood, such as with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, where his blood was shed.

Touching on the concept of sin once more, Tommy references Genesis 4:7, describing sin as "refusing to do what God tells us," as we allow it to rule over our lives and actions. In the case of the forgiveness of sins, he describes innocent bloodshed as the precedent set in Genesis, which is carried over to the New Testament, again, with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Referencing Proverbs 14:12 and Proverbs 16:25, Tommy states, "There is a way that seems right to a person but ends in death." And, as he caps off the significance behind Jesus Christ coming down from heaven to die for our sins, he stresses the importance of staying focused on salvation through Christ and keeping God's glory at the center of our lives.
