Tyler Hubbard has written a brand new song for The Chosen Season 6, titled ‘All I Need is You’, with the Florida Georgia Line hitmaker reflecting on how much this opportunity means to him in an interview with the TV show's creator, Dallas Jenkins.

The Chosen explores the life of Jesus Christ, with Jenkins crowd-funding the show back in 2019. It reportedly became the highest crowd-funded media project in history, with The Chosen now a much-loved TV staple. Season 6 launches on November 15th, with fans able to watch the latest instalment via Amazon Prime Video.

In a new conversation with Jenkins, Hubbard reflects on how important it is to reflect all elements of his life in his songwriting, including his longstanding Christian beliefs.

The ‘Dancin’ in the Country’ singer-songwriter opens up to Jenkins, “A lot of times I want to write songs about everything I experience in life, and my faith is a big part of that. So getting the opportunity to write this song, to create this song, is really special for me, and also to be a part of this show which also means so much”.

Jenkins then confirms that ‘All I Need is You’ will arrive on August 7th, with a broader album “inspired by” The Chosen featuring a variety of artists set to be released in October.

In a separate statement, the ‘5 foot 9’ chart-topper emphasises how much he and his family love the show, “My wife, my three kids and I have a nightly ritual of watching The Chosen. We really got into it! It’s a show that I love and am connected to, so I was really excited to personally be a part of the show and part of the music”.

This new season promises to be a challenging watch, with the official trailer showing the final few moments before Jesus is crucified. Of course, he is then resurrected, but The Chosen Season 6 will delve into the difficulties he faced in the lead-up to this.

Jonathan Roumie returns as Jesus, with 5&2 Studios - Jenkins’ production company - hinting at what fans can expect from this season alongside the trailer, “The hour has come. Before the sun sets, Jesus of Nazareth will be dead. Season six captures the historic events of Jesus’ final day through the lives of those who love Him - and those who condemn Him. Pharisees call it justice. Romans call it peace. Followers call it murder. But in the face of loneliness and death, Jesus stands resolute in his plan that has always led to one place: the cross”.

Hubbard has always made a point of meditating on faith-driven themes throughout his music, epitomised by the soul-stirring ‘Way Home’, one of the most underrated gems in his solo catalogue, as well as FGL classics like ‘Blessings’ and ‘Forever Home’ with Chris Tomlin. In addition, Hubbard has been working with Christian Music trailblazer Brandon Lake as he readies a country record.

Excitingly, this summer is shaping up to a busy period for Hubbard. After linking up with Brian Kelley for Florida Georgia Line's reunion at Nashville's CMA Fest 2026 in June, Hubbard drops his long-teased new single, ‘9021080’, this Friday, July 31st.
