Kings of Leon surprised their packed-out Basement East crowd in Nashville with a special cameo from Zach Bryan, who joined the rock titans to perform their collaboration, ‘Bowery’.
It likely serves as one of the smallest venues you'll ever get to see Bryan performing in, with Tennessee's beloved Basement East able to welcome roughly 500 attendees.
The audience erupted when Bryan sauntered on-stage, with the band immediately launching into the ‘Bowery’ introduction, with both the ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker and Caleb Followill keeping the energy high throughout the live-wire performance.
Bryan has cited Kings of Leon as one of his favourite bands throughout his career, with the Oklahoma native joining forces with the ‘Use Somebody’ crooners for not one but two collaborations back in 2025, ‘Bowery’ and ‘We're Onto Something’.
They've teamed up on-stage in the past, with Bryan bringing out Kings of Leon last summer at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and it's heartwarming to see they're still buddies.
With Bryan currently gearing up to release his long-teased EP, Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs, we're wondering if we can expect a Kings of Leon feature on the project.
It's also interesting that Bryan happened to be in Music City last night (Friday, September 11th), with the ‘I Remember Everything’ chart-topper famously very critical of Nashville. It comes shortly after he filmed a Belting Bronco video session with another of his idols, Jason Isbell, which concluded at Nashville's Robert's Western World.
Perhaps Bryan has been completing Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs in Nashville. If so, maybe this means he's finally embracing the ‘country’ label he's always been so reluctant to accept. We'll have to wait and see until next month, when the EP is set to drop, but this latest appearance ensures the excitement remains sky-high ahead of his mysterious project. Similarly, Kings of Leon announced their new album, O My Beloved, ahead of the show, with the rock trailblazers releasing the lead single, ‘My Whole World’, this week.
