Zach Bryan Reveals He Recorded a Music Video with His Grandma for His New EP, ‘Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs’

During his new Belting Bronco episode with Jason Isbell, Zach Bryan reveals that he's recorded a music video with his grandmother in Oklahoma for his forthcoming EP.

After Isbell discusses how other small-towns in the US have reminded him of where he grew up in rural Alabama, Bryan chimes in, “For my EP coming up I just made a music video thing out there [in Oklahoma] where I got to interview my grandma”.

The ‘I Remember Everything’ singer-songwriter goes on, “It's just funny, how like actually sad our upbringings were, but everybody was too happy to realise how sad it was”.

Bryan is gearing up to release his Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs EP, which is rumoured to be dropping in October. It's expected to feature recently teased songs like ‘Better Friends’, ‘Lodi When’, ‘Backwards’ and ‘Robot Killed the Working Man’.

We weren't sure whether this new project would be a concise, low-key EP in the form of Boys of Faith, or a longer, more built-out body of work like the seminal Summertime Blues.

Judging by the fact that he appears to have recorded at least one music video for the new project, it seems we can expect it to be closer to the latter. Gone are the days when Bryan would drop singles left, right and center on the spur of the moment.

Now, after signing his renewed deal with Warner Records, the ‘Dawns’ crooner appears to be following much more traditional rollouts. His January 2026 With Heaven On Top album, for instance, was announced the best part of six months before its release.

Similarly, Bryan has been teasing Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs throughout the summer. If he's recording music videos, perhaps we might see the long-awaited release of either his Motorbreath or American Underbelly short films.

Bryan shared a few vignettes from the latter last year via Instagram, but fans have heard little about it ever since. Perhaps he's planning to drop it alongside his new EP.

Either way, new music from the Oklahoma maverick is always welcome, and with Isbell joining him for this latest Belting Bronco episode, we'd be surprised if Bryan didn't at least ask him about the prospect of recording something together for the project.

Given how brilliant and intricate each of Bryan and Isbell's respective folk-leaning songwriting styles is, we're sure a collaboration would sound brilliant. Watch this space.
