Following the release of his latest EP, Zach Bryan's wife, Samantha Bryan, took to Instagram to share her sentiment on 'Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs,' and celebrate her husband for the accomplishment.
"8 months & 15 days from writing to releasing." Samantha wrote before continuing, "A labor of love - I couldn't be more proud of the man you are."
The post was made with the EP's first track, 'Lodi When', attached - a song that Samantha has a writing credit on. One of the most highly anticipated songs from the project, the track is reflective of the story of the 'Godspeed' crooner's life, where he asks the honest question of, if he was faced with the choice, would he return to "her arms" which Bryan seems to paint in a negative light, or the hopeful and mysterious "Lodi When," which seems positive and transformative.
It's worth noting that Lodi is a place in California - Samantha's birth state. Now, whether that's the reason our protagonist sings of the place, we cannot answer. However, we can confirm that the California native had some sort of writing involvement on the track, and from the looks of social media, a hand in the development of the EP in general.
According to the timeline Samantha gives us in the caption, writing for the record began in February 2026, as Bryan perfected the story for a time in his life he longed to share.
Samantha and Zach Bryan married on New Years Eve of 2025. With the 'I Remember Everything' songster proposing to her just four weeks after initially getting together in July of that year, the two married in Basílica de Santa María del Coro, a Baroque Roman Catholic Church in San Sebastian, Spain.
Since the two started dating, though, Samantha has often been credited as one of the sources for the positive development of her husband's life. It seems as though Bryan, who has often sung of finding the love of a good woman, found his and is now experiencing all of its glory.
You may remember November 2025, when Bryan took to socials to open up to the public about his sobriety journey, one that the 'Something In The Orange' songster himself has stated he never thought he'd embark on. At the time of sharing, Bryan told fans that he hadn't drank alcohol for two months, crediting Samantha, her general well-being and happiness as one of his main motivations for putting down the difficult-to-drop vice.
A huge change in lifestyle and habits such as this, of course, changes the person by default.
Which, in this writer's eyes, makes 'Young Manhood & Other Donatable Organs' all the more a "labor of love," as Samantha stated. After all, what better term of phrasing is there for a transformative record concept, that came from pouring everything you have creatively, because you long to tell the story of the changes you went through for the person you love most?
