In recent days, Zach Bryan has posted snippets of two new songs, recordings that feel reminiscent of days where he debuted ‘Heading South’ or ‘Godspeed’ – just Zach, his guitar, with simple ambience and simple recording. Hot on the heels of Bryan revealing he has a new EP on the way, ‘Young Manhood and Other Donatable Organs’, we've compiled all the unreleased songs we suspect may feature on the project.
Though teased on socials in April, Bryan posted a longer version of ‘Lodi When’ on his official YouTube channel on July 3rd, 2026, about a week into his month-long break from his current With Heaven on Tour run. The song’s lyrics feel deeply nostalgic for both a girl and a place, with Bryan singing soulfully on a rainy porch in reflection of a moment where he asks the honest, raw question of what choices he would make if he could go back to a specific time and version of himself.
“If you could write about the man you once were, would you write about drinking, or would you write about her”
Along with this snippet, Bryan also posted an unreleased track called ‘Better Friends’, where he describes the feeling of nights coming to an end and feeling restless, or the ache of something missing. While perhaps not directed at those the night is shared with, but maybe feeling the shift of what once felt fun and exciting being drawn out – and searching for something new in a place that will only offer the same old.
“Where do you go when the nights at its bitter end? Are these one of the times that you wish that you had better friends?”
While these two unreleased songs remain the only confirmed tracks on Bryan’s upcoming EP, which was announced in the descriptions of both YouTube videos, there is room for assumption that ‘Breakfast in Bed’ - as well as other songs floating around with no place to go - may finally claim their spots in Bryan’s discography.
‘Breakfast in Bed’, posted mere weeks before with slightly better-quality production and acoustics, calls back to vices, harsh realizations, and beliefs about oneself given by others. If the EP is about young manhood, and ‘Breakfast in Bed’ does make its way to it, this song would be the falling action of the man. The lyrics read as a low point and almost self-deprecating, asking questions that typically never travel from one’s mind to leave their mouth, and making statements that have the power to roll over and over in thought.
“You're only human, we all know it too / Does that make your vices, a crutch or the truth / They called you a sickness, an outright disease / Does praying to your God make you hot in the cheeks?”
‘You’ll Get By’ was found to have a little more than average play time for an unreleased record, and the extra hype around it can be chalked up to its designated spot on Bryan’s 2026 With Heaven on Tour setlist. This emotional track with drawn out vocals and live harmonizations with his band's female counterparts have made it beloved among fans, and more than fair to expect on the upcoming EP. The song’s lyrics lay out a blueprint for getting through anxious times and assurance to himself, fans, or just humans in general through a simple but profound message – no matter what happens, you’ll get by.
“Well, you'll get by just fine / The coming of the ages / Another fucking dream wasted / And the passing of the time”
With the rapidness that Bryan has been known to write, rewrite, release, and even change his songs after release, it wouldn’t surprise me if the EP presented an entirely different tracklist than what has been rumored or theorized. Zach scatters random recordings of different songs he has written across his Instagram, some hitting hype status and becoming highly anticipated thanks to TikTok algorithms.
Some of these songs have names, and others are simply coined by Zach through writing a few lyrics down in his Instagram captions. ‘Pocket Change’ is another one that wouldn’t be completely out of the ballpark to guess on the new record, being one of the first songs he teased of the year. ‘You and I’, along with ‘You’ll Get By’, is another song fans have been clamouring for on TikTok, and just as much as he doesn’t, sometimes Bryan will give fans exactly what they ask for out of his music.
If you’re like me, and hear these snippets over and over and wish for them to have a place to go, you can look no further than Bryan’s Instagram, where he is very open about the songs he writes and closed off about whether or not they will become studio releases. Either way, any new music from Bryan is cause for celebration, and it's safe to say the anticipation is sky-high among his loyal fans ahead of the EP.
